A New Year, A New Start

A new year has just rung in. As the new year starts, I celebrate two years of blogging here at An Ordinary Mom. I look forward to the year of 2019, for year number three. At the beginning of 2018, there were only about 50 followers of this blog. Going into 2019 we will start the year much stronger as we inch closer to 1,000 readers strong.

Thank you.

It means a lot to me that you feel my words are of enough value that you take a moment out of your day and spend time with me reading what I have to say, writing comments and sharing my words with others. Seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

2019 is going to be interesting year for me on the writing front. This month I’m headed back to college to hopefully one day get my degree in Psychology. As I’ll be going to school full time, I plan on continuing posting my usual Tuesdays and Thursdays here. (I’m already working into the middle of the year making sure I have posts so I don’t have to worry about things here.) I suspect that I will be less often send out my writing for publication beyond my blog this year due to school constraints but we’ll see. For everything, there is a season and the season that I have been waiting for has finally come. My season to go finish my education.

It is my prayer that you will find that no matter how hard things are, a new day will come in the morning and things can get better. If you need someone to walk with you during times of trouble reach out! I may not have any worthwhile advice, but I can listen and make sure you know-

You are not alone

Many people choose a word for the new year and I’ve decided to try this.  My word for the year will be “Remember”. I want to remember what is truly important to me and place those things first in my life. I’m hoping that as I go through this year, as I think of this word it will help me remember to do that.

As this year dawns, I pray that you will find peace, joy, love, and hope within the coming year.~An Ordinary Mom Click To Tweet

May you have a blessed year!

  1. Happy New Year and thanks for stopping by my blog! I don’t do much writing lately since I work two jobs now, but I don’t plan to give up on Sunshine and Elephants. I’ll post a few things here and there.

  2. Good luck on earning your degree! I need to start planning out my posts. I only post on my blog once a week, and some weeks that is more challenging. Have a wonderful and happy new year!

    1. Thanks! It really takes the pressure off to have blog posts scheduled ahead of time. I can always move something around if I have something that is timely.
